The Girl Who'll Read Anything

Got hooked after reading the first Chapter. Will continue to read the series to see what more is in store for Kaneki Ken!

I did not have any idea what this book was about and why this Simon is fighting a Homo Sapiens Agenda. A friend recommended it to me so I gave it a shot. And I was not disappointed! Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda is such a funny yet emotional read. This story is just one of the many gay struggles homosexuals experience today.

Simon is gay but only one person knows his secret, Blue, an online friend (or boyfriend?). Well, not until Martin signed in using his account at the library and read the e-mail exchanges. Simon got caught up in a blackmailing because Martin likes Abby, Simon's close friend.

It was such an adventure to see Simon deal with 1) coming out 2) finding out who Blue is 3) his friends and family and 4) the people at school after finding out about him being gay.

If you need a funny yet meaningful book to read, then go grab a copy and read it!

The reason I decided to read this book is because I saw its movie trailer which I thought was silly and hilarious. So I decided to give it a try. And it surely did not disappoint. It's such an entertaining read that I did not even realize that I was getting close to the end because once I started reading it, I did not want to stop!

What I liked about The DUFF is the reality that Bianca (THE DUFF) is living in. I sympathize with her because I, myself, felt (or still feels) that I have always been the DUFF in our circle of friends. I've always felt not likable by the opposite sex which did not do well with my confidence. But also like Bianca, a guy came in and made her feel wanted. Liked. This guy makes her feel like a goddess. Beautiful.

Although what Bianca and Wesley have was purely physical in the beginning, it's so refreshing to see how it blossomed to something way more than that.

So this is for those girls and boys who feel like they are The DUFF. Do not lose hope. Ever. Someone out there -no matter how cliché this may sound- is meant for you.

I give Better Than Perfect 2 out of 5.

Reasons why I didn't like the book:

*Everything is so sloooooooOOoooOOw. The plot. Character development. EVERYTHING.
*Most of the characters (except Sinead and Danny) are annoying. I can't seem to sympathize especially with Juliet, the main character of the story. I just can't.
*l didn't like the ending. It wasn't Better Than Perfect, for me at least.

Reasons why I liked the book:

Choke is what I really expected it would be. Disturbing. Fucked up. Made me think "What the heck did I just read." loads of times. But that's the truth of the book. It tackles real-life situations. Things that happen to real people in our real and messed up world. It just so happened that Chuck wrote it in a disturbing, raw and oddly entertaining way. I liked it.

I liked An Abundance of Katherines. It's slow-paced, witty and generally, a genius of a book. Not that I'm biased to John Green but it's a good book. Not one of my favorites but still memorable.

Saw this lying around the house (turns out my 12 year old sister borrowed it from a classmate) saw I'm like "Oh why the hell not!" so I read it (even if I already saw the film adaptations). Entertaining and funny. Rowley is awesome! Love that kid! In conclusion, I miss being a kid!!! Ahhhhh!!

Overall: I liked Invisibility. But I would not recommend if anyone asks for a recommendation from me.

The concept is good. Someone was born invisible THEN falls in love? Lots of questions came up with that when I started reading it. But I think I was disappointed that it didn't turn out to be as simple yet amazing as Every Day. The complication got me turned off with it but it's still entertaining nonetheless.

I loved Stephen's POV more than Elizabeth's. I feel "more" when it's Stephen speaking.

I liked the open ending too. Made me think about how things will be for the couple, for Elizabeth and for Stephen, the invisible boy.

First off, I've been meaning to read this book and have been putting off for so long. So when I actually got a hold of it, I expected a lot. Well, to be honest some of my expectations weren't met. I like this book but it's not really memorable for me. It's not like the other books I've read and loved that got me thinking for hours or days.

I like Prince Maxon but feels indifferent towards America. But I think it's because America's character just seemed to be so likable no matter what. Idk. Haha

Well, even if I gave this book just 3 stars, it doesn't mean I won't read the next 2 books. Of course I want to know how it will end! Plus, there's still hope for me that the sequels will be good, if not, better! I would still recommend this to anyone who wants a quick read and a quick jolt-in-the-heart romance.

Finally got to read this book that I have been delaying for years! And to be honest, I really regret not reading this before.

The Book Thief has just officially been my favorite book (so far). It was absolutely beautiful. Hauntingly and painfully beautiful. A story told in Death's perspective is not only a fresh break from all the other books that I've read but is actually eye-opening too. What if Death really see us that way? What if Death is really tired of his eternal existence and job of claiming and fetching souls?

The Book Thief is about war. Relationships. Love. Family. Regrets. Friendship. I have grown fond with ALL the characters in the story. Especially Rudy and Liesel. They are both such powerful and tear-inducing characters! I'm talking about the last few pages of the book! (I read and finished the last few pages of the book while I was riding the bus and took all my willpower to not ugly sob in public) And I wouldn't want to spoil it to you, yes?

I was both beyond devastated and ecstatic about this book. It would hurt to bid goodbye to the characters of the story and to the story itself as you come close to finishing the book. That was exactly what happened to me. I want to finish the book but I don't want it to end yet. And I TOTALLY RECOMMEND THE BOOK THIEF TO ANYONE. This is one of those books that EVERYONE, and I literally mean EVERYONE, should read before they die.

After reading this book, I think I just died and went to book heaven. The Book Thief would always be a part of me.

Nothing much to expect. But it really shows how much The Flare can affect people, especially the ones you love. This aaay be one of the reasons why Thomas has been a part of WICKED. To find the cure. To avoid more heartbreaking memories like this one.

Wow. First of all, I cannot believe that it took me almost a month just to finish this. When you're juggling work, family, and social and personal life, it's really a struggle to maintain the 1-2 days reading pace that I usually have.

Anyway, I am so glad that I was able to finish it! If I wasn't busy with work and life in general, I would've finished this in 2 days tops because of its heart-stopping and action-packed storyline.

I am starting to get used to reading in third person point of view. I think I even like how it really makes me use my imagination to the fullest since it is more of description than dialouge.

It worked and blended so well with the first one, The Maze Runner. But I could say that I still liked the first one better than this one. Nevertheless, it was still a great addition and support to The Maze Runner. James Dashner killed it again on this one!

The poems were really simple. They came from a perspective of a future mother. Simple yet full of love, truth and affection.
